AI doesn't replace design thinking, it lets us act on it faster

AI tools have allowed me to move faster, to prototype instead of spec, to explore ideas instead of perfecting them in isolation. I've seen the same thing happen with back-end and platform engineers. They're coming to conversations with more formed ideas, thinking about how a feature works and how it's built at the same time.

It doesn't diminish anyone's expertise. It lets us communicate more efficiently and move faster. The line between roles is getting blurrier, but the work is getting better.
